Surgery fund for Francesca: ACL reconstruction in Venice
Francesca needs ACL reconstruction at Venice Orthopedic Institute and the family is $4,650 short of the hospital's estimate.
🇮🇹 Veneto, Italy1,419 views
Francesca was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in June. The surgeon at Venice Orthopedic Institute recommended ACL reconstruction, and She is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $7,750, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $4,650 short.
my mother has been in and out of Venice Orthopedic Institute since June. The doctors say a benign brain tumor will get worse without ACL reconstruction. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $7,750 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Francesca struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 3 weeks. During that time Francesca won't be able to lift anything heavy, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $4,650 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $2,200
• Hospital stay (4 nights): $1,300
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $530
• Post-operative medication: $280
• Physiotherapy sessions: $240
• Travel and lodging for the family: $100
Every share and every dollar helps.

Hope things get better soon, Leonardo. Shared it with a few friends.
is there anything that isn't money that would help Francesca?
Thank you. If you're in Venice I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Fair thing to want to know.
everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Love from Santos.
