Fen was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in the right knee in August. The surgeon at Cincinnati Regional Medical Center recommended gallbladder removal, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $6,500, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $5,150 short. my daughter has been in and out of Cincinnati Regional Medical Center since August. The doctors say osteoarthritis in the right knee will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $6,500 is more than we can find. While we wait, Fen struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. The recovery period is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Fen won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.
