Fabio was diagnosed with a deviated septum causing chronic infections in April. The surgeon at Rome Regional Medical Center recommended a craniotomy, and He is scheduled for June. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $4,100, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $2,450 short.
my son has been in and out of Rome Regional Medical Center since April. The doctors say a deviated septum causing chronic infections will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $4,100 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Fabio struggles with daily life and can't drive. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Fabio won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Fabio.
Sure. The biggest one is post-operative medication, $320. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Appreciate you taking the time.
