Enzo was diagnosed with severe cataracts in both eyes in July. The surgeon at Duque de Caxias General Hospital recommended ACL reconstruction, and He is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,500, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $1,750 short.
my father has been in and out of Duque de Caxias General Hospital since July. The doctors say severe cataracts in both eyes will get worse without ACL reconstruction. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Enzo struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
