Donna was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in April. The surgeon at Dallas University Hospital recommended laparoscopic cyst removal, and She is scheduled for July. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $5,750, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $4,500 short.
my mother has been in and out of Dallas University Hospital since April. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without laparoscopic cyst removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $5,750 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Donna struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 3 weeks. During that time Donna won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
