Divina was diagnosed with a hip fracture that never healed properly in August. The surgeon at Los Angeles Community Hospital recommended laparoscopic endometriosis surgery, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $10,750, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $8,600 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Los Angeles Community Hospital since August. The doctors say a hip fracture that never healed properly will get worse without laparoscopic endometriosis surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $10,750 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Divina struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Divina won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
