Surgery fund for Comfort: hip replacement surgery in Ikeja
After an aortic valve defect, Comfort was cleared for hip replacement surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Comfort was diagnosed with an aortic valve defect in June. The surgeon at Saint Matthew Hospital recommended hip replacement surgery, and She is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $700, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $350 short.
my sister has been in and out of Saint Matthew Hospital since June. The doctors say an aortic valve defect will get worse without hip replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $700 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Comfort struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Comfort won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $350 goes:
• Post-operative medication: $20
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $45
• Travel and lodging for the family: $35
• Hospital stay (5 nights): $250
