Surgery fund for Clement: hip replacement surgery in Tamale
A scheduled hip replacement surgery in March is out of reach without help covering $1,200 of the cost.

Clement was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in January. The surgeon at Tamale Community Hospital recommended hip replacement surgery, and He is scheduled for March. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,000, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $1,200 short.
my husband has been in and out of Tamale Community Hospital since January. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without hip replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Clement struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 10 weeks. During that time Clement won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $1,200 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $530
• Hospital stay (2 nights): $410
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $55
• Post-operative medication: $55
• Physiotherapy sessions: $100
• Travel and lodging for the family: $50
Thank you so much.

So sorry you're going through this. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I'm in hospitality myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Thinking of Tamale.
