Surgery fund for Caroline: valve repair surgery in Nakuru
A scheduled valve repair surgery in August is out of reach without help covering $650 of the cost.

Caroline was diagnosed with a hip fracture that never healed properly in May. The surgeon at Nakuru Orthopedic Institute recommended valve repair surgery, and She is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,300, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $650 short.
my wife has been in and out of Nakuru Orthopedic Institute since May. The doctors say a hip fracture that never healed properly will get worse without valve repair surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,300 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Caroline struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Caroline won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $650 goes:
• Hospital stay (5 nights): $530
• Travel and lodging for the family: $50
• Post-operative medication: $70
Glad we found this place.

Thinking of you and your family, Njoroge. Hope this works out for you. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double
