The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,750, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $1,050 short. my wife has been in and out of Casablanca General Hospital since April. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,750 is more than we can find. While we wait, Brigitte struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. Rehabilitation is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Brigitte won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
