Surgery fund for Brandon: ACL reconstruction in Salem
After a thyroid nodule that needs removal, Brandon was cleared for ACL reconstruction, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Brandon was diagnosed with a thyroid nodule that needs removal in August. The surgeon at Salem University Hospital recommended ACL reconstruction, and He is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,900, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $950 short.
my son has been in and out of Salem University Hospital since August. The doctors say a thyroid nodule that needs removal will get worse without ACL reconstruction. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,900 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Brandon struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 3 weeks. During that time Brandon won't be able to lift anything heavy, so the costs keep growing.
