Bin was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in March. The surgeon at Knoxville General Hospital recommended gallbladder removal, and He is scheduled for May. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $10,500, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $6,300 short. my son has been in and out of Knoxville General Hospital since March. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $10,500 is more than we can find. While we wait, Bin struggles with daily life and can't walk without help. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. Recovery is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Bin won't be able to walk without help, so the costs keep growing. I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section. Where the $6,300 goes: • Hospital stay (3 nights): $3,100 • Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $2,900 • Post-operative medication: $300 Every share and every dollar helps.
