Bikash was diagnosed with a herniated spinal disc in August. The surgeon at Saint Catherine Hospital recommended knee replacement surgery, and He is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,000, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $800 short.
my father has been in and out of Saint Catherine Hospital since August. The doctors say a herniated spinal disc will get worse without knee replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Bikash struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Bikash won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.

The list at the bottom is the whole picture. post-operative medication is the biggest at $35.
Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Wish I lived closer to Santos so I could bring a meal.
