Surgery fund for Beatrice: cataract surgery in Milan

Beatrice was diagnosed with a cleft palate needing repair in August. The surgeon at Milan Orthopedic Institute recommended cataract surgery, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,400, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $1,450 short.
my mother has been in and out of Milan Orthopedic Institute since August. The doctors say a cleft palate needing repair will get worse without cataract surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,400 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Beatrice struggles with daily life and can't walk without help. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Beatrice won't be able to walk without help, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Beatrice
Sure. The biggest one is hospital stay (5 nights), $870. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. I'll keep the page updated.
