Audrey was diagnosed with a deviated septum causing chronic infections in November. The surgeon at Saint Luke Hospital recommended hip replacement surgery, and She is scheduled for January. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $7,750, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $5,900 short. my daughter has been in and out of Saint Luke Hospital since November. The doctors say a deviated septum causing chronic infections will get worse without hip replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $7,750 is more than we can find. While we wait, Audrey struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. The recovery period is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Audrey won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing. The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did. Where the $5,900 goes: • Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $3,150 • Hospital stay (4 nights): $1,300 • Pre-operative tests and imaging: $320 • Post-operative medication: $350 • Physiotherapy sessions: $610 • Travel and lodging for the family: $170 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it. - Isaiah
