Surgery fund for Aubree: knee replacement surgery in Leeds
Aubree needs knee replacement surgery at Leeds Regional Medical Center and the family is $6,850 short of the hospital's estimate.

Aubree was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in August. The surgeon at Leeds Regional Medical Center recommended knee replacement surgery, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $11,500, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $6,850 short.
my mother has been in and out of Leeds Regional Medical Center since August. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without knee replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $11,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Aubree struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 10 weeks. During that time Aubree won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $6,850 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $3,000
• Hospital stay (4 nights): $2,400
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $380
• Post-operative medication: $410
• Physiotherapy sessions: $430
• Travel and lodging for the family: $230
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
