Grenoble
Arthur was diagnosed with gallstones with repeated infections in August. The surgeon at Grenoble Regional Medical Center recommended gallbladder removal, and He is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $4,800, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $2,400 short. my son has been in and out of Grenoble Regional Medical Center since August. The doctors say gallstones with repeated infections will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $4,800 is more than we can find. While we wait, Arthur struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. Rehabilitation is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Arthur won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing. The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did. Where the $2,400 goes: • Hospital stay (2 nights): $1,950 • Post-operative medication: $155 • Travel and lodging for the family: $295 Thanks for being kind about this.
