Anyango was diagnosed with a deviated septum causing chronic infections in July. The surgeon at Entebbe General Hospital recommended septoplasty, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,150, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $700 short. my daughter has been in and out of Entebbe General Hospital since July. The doctors say a deviated septum causing chronic infections will get worse without septoplasty. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,150 is more than we can find. While we wait, Anyango struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. The recovery period is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Anyango won't be able to lift anything heavy, so the costs keep growing. I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section. Where the $700 goes: • Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $280 • Hospital stay (5 nights): $160 • Pre-operative tests and imaging: $90 • Post-operative medication: $35 • Physiotherapy sessions: $65 • Travel and lodging for the family: $70 If you're reading this, thank you. - Apio
