Anika was diagnosed with a cleft palate needing repair in August. The surgeon at Pune Orthopedic Institute recommended laparoscopic endometriosis surgery, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,650, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $1,300 short.
my wife has been in and out of Pune Orthopedic Institute since August. The doctors say a cleft palate needing repair will get worse without laparoscopic endometriosis surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,650 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Anika struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 3 weeks. During that time Anika won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
