Allison was diagnosed with gallstones with repeated infections in August. The surgeon at Ann Arbor General Hospital recommended ACL reconstruction, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $7,250, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $5,350 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Ann Arbor General Hospital since August. The doctors say gallstones with repeated infections will get worse without ACL reconstruction. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $7,250 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Allison struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Allison won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.
