Surgery fund for Adrian: laparoscopic endometriosis surgery in Tallahassee

In March I was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery. My surgeon at Tallahassee University Hospital recommended laparoscopic endometriosis surgery, and I have been placed on the schedule for July. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $1,500, and after what the public health scheme will pay, I'm still $1,050 short. Doctors at Tallahassee University Hospital told me endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without laparoscopic endometriosis surgery. I work as a security guard, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $1,500 is far beyond what I've. Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a security guard have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk. Recovery is expected to take about 4 weeks.
