Abigail was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in January. The surgeon at Saint Francis Hospital recommended septoplasty, and She is scheduled for May. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $3,000, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $2,400 short. my daughter has been in and out of Saint Francis Hospital since January. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without septoplasty. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $3,000 is more than we can find. While we wait, Abigail struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. Rehabilitation is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Abigail won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing. The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did. Where the $2,400 goes: • Post-operative medication: $150 • Physiotherapy sessions: $670 • Hospital stay (3 nights): $1,250 • Travel and lodging for the family: $330 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly. - Ezra

Hope the doctors have good news. After 7 years in teaching I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Greetings from London.

    • Thinking of you and your family. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Thinking of Newcastle upon Tyne.
