Sunita was diagnosed with kidney cancer in April. The oncology team at Butwal Regional Medical Center has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in July. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks. Sunita is 43, worked as a bakery worker until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Butwal Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,500 goes: • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $50 • Household costs while unable to work: $300 • Transport to Butwal Regional Medical Center: $55 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,095 Please ask me anything in the questions section.
