Sung-min can't leave home - help build a ramp
Help Sung-min regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇺🇸 Tallahassee, Florida, United States1,282 views
Sung-min has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Sung-min can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Sung-min's family will cook lunch for the team.
Thanks for being kind about this.

thanks for sharing this, Ji-ho. Get well soon.
Best of luck. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Thinking of Tallahassee.
Praying for you. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Please keep us posted. Greetings from Hồ Chí Minh City.
Take care, Ji-ho. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. I'll check back for the next update!
