Su-bin's colon cancer treatment fund
Su-bin is facing colon cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Su-bin was diagnosed with colon cancer in September. The oncology team at Oakland University Hospital has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Su-bin is 33, worked as a primary school teacher until September, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Oakland University Hospital 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $11,200 goes:
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $530
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,900
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $8,770

What exactly is the $11,200 for?
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team comes first ($530) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Good question.
