Su-bin needs a cutting table and overlocker to reopen a sewing studio
Su-bin has run a sewing studio for four years; a storm that collapsed the roof destroyed the equipment, and $1,550 will put it back on its feet.

For four years I have run a sewing studio in Gangnam. In July, a storm that collapsed the roof took a cutting table and overlocker. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 12 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $1,550 goes:
• Initial stock: fabric: $230
• Working capital for the first month: $340
• Replacing a cutting table and overlocker: $980
Thanks for reading all this.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Su-bin.
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. initial stock: fabric comes first ($230) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Let me know if you want more detail.
Wishing you the best. Looking forward to the next update. I went through something like this 7 years ago and strangers helped me out. Take care.
Sending good thoughts. I hope things turn around soon. Don't give up. Love from Bogotá.
Hang in there, Su-bin. Shared this with my family. Greetings from Makati.
