Storm in Sheffield: help the Eastgate settlement rebuild
The storm damaged 55 homes in the Eastgate settlement. We're raising funds for repairs, supplies and temporary shelter.

The storm hit the Eastgate settlement on 2 July. My home was one of 55 damaged, and 10 families are still in temporary shelter at a mosque and church hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $3,400 goes:
• Tools and labor for repairs: $980
• Food parcels for displaced families: $940
• Clean water and purification supplies: $840
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $640
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

You're not alone. Great idea, hope you get there. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Greetings from Tiruchirappalli.
Praying for you, John. Shared this with my family. Greetings from The Hague.
Rooting for you, John. Gave what I could, wish it was more. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry
