Stop the eviction: 3 months of rent for Sebastian's family in Springfield
After a long illness, Sebastian is 3 months behind on rent and has a court summons for non-payment from the landlord.

After a sudden layoff at the textile factory, I fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Monday a court summons for non-payment was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $2,950.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by October, we must leave.
I've 4 children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working night deliveries, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $2,950 goes:
• Rent arrears (3 months): $1,900
• Late fees and court costs: $130
• Utilities in arrears: $155
• First month of rent as a buffer: $765
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Hope it all works out, Sebastian. Shared it with a few friends. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Greetings from Bekasi.
Sending love, Sebastian. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Greetings from Berlin
So sorry you're going through this. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Put this on a community board in Joliet this morning
Thinking of you, Sebastian. Looking forward to the next update. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. God bless
good luck, Sebastian. Shared it with a few friends. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Take care.
