Stop the eviction: 3 months of rent for Kateryna's family in Kyiv
After a car accident, Kateryna is 3 months behind on rent and has a 10-day notice to quit from the landlord.

After a car accident that kept me from work for 4 weeks, Kateryna fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Friday a 10-day notice to quit was taped to the door, and the amount owed is $450.
The landlord was understanding for a while, but has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by October, the family must leave.
There are two young children at home. Moving would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
Kateryna has started working two part-time jobs, and is applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $450 goes:
• Rent arrears (3 months): $280
• First month of rent as a buffer: $130
• Late fees and court costs: $40
Thanks for being kind about this.
