Stop the eviction: 3 months of rent for Hye-jin's family in Seoul
A court summons for non-payment arrived last week. Hye-jin needs $1,650 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Seoul.

Following a long illness in the family, Hye-jin fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Wednesday a court summons for non-payment was taped to the door, and the amount owed is $1,650.
The landlord was understanding for a while, but has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by May, the family must leave.
There are two young children at home. Moving would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
Hye-jin has started working extra hours at a market stall, and is applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.

• Rent arrears (3 months): $970
• Late fees and court costs: $125
• Utilities in arrears: $155
• First month of rent as a buffer: $400

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Hye-jin.
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. rent arrears (3 months) comes first ($970) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Good question.
