When my hours were cut in half in February, Haris fell 2 months behind on rent. Last Monday a notice to vacate was taped to the door, and the amount owed is $450.
The landlord was understanding for a while, but has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by June, the family must leave.
There are a teenager still in school at home. Moving would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
Haris has started working extra hours at a market stall, and is applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.

It's all in the list in the story. late fees and court costs is the big one at $50, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Fair thing to want to know.
