Start-up fund for William: reopening a laundry service after a break-in
William lost two washing machines and a dryer to a break-in and needs $2,900 to reopen a laundry service and support the family.

For four years I have run a laundry service in Corpus Christi. In June, a break-in took two washing machines and a dryer. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $2,900 goes:
• Initial stock: detergent and packaging: $490
• Shop repairs and licensing: $300
• Replacing two washing machines and a dryer: $2,110
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
