Start-up fund for Viola: reopening a neighborhood bakery after a break-in
A neighborhood bakery in Catania needs help replacing a commercial oven after a break-in.

For four years I have run a neighborhood bakery in Catania. In August, a break-in took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Friday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 8 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $2,450 goes:
• Replacing a commercial oven: $1,400
• Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar: $290
• Shop repairs and licensing: $270
• Working capital for the first month: $490
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
