Start-up fund for Unathi: reopening a fish stall after a storm that collapsed the roof
Unathi has run a fish stall for twelve years; a storm that collapsed the roof destroyed the equipment, and $1,050 will put it back on its feet.

For twelve years I have run a fish stall in Ekurhuleni. In August, a storm that collapsed the roof took a freezer and scales. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Thursday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $1,050 goes:
• Working capital for the first month: $120
• Replacing a freezer and scales: $710
• Initial stock: the first catch: $220
Thanks for reading all this.

Wishing you peace. Hope the shop reopens soon. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Love from Bogotá!
