Start-up fund for Tyler: reopening a sewing studio after a long illness and repossession
A sewing studio in London needs help replacing a cutting table and overlocker after a long illness and repossession.
🇬🇧 England, United Kingdom2,327 views
For twelve years I have run a sewing studio in London. In November, a long illness and repossession took a cutting table and overlocker. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Monday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 12 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $3,650 goes:
• Replacing a cutting table and overlocker: $2,450
• Initial stock: fabric: $310
• Shop repairs and licensing: $330
• Working capital for the first month: $560
Thank you so much.

Hang in there. Hope you get there. Put this on a community board in Kyiv this morning. Greetings from Kyiv
Sending strength. Gave what I could, wish it was more. After 6 years in farming I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Love from Cincinnati.
Thinking of you and your family, Tyler. Your post was clear and honest. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Thinking of London.
