Start-up fund for Sun-hee: reopening a laundry service after a long illness and repossession
Sun-hee has run a laundry service for fifteen years; a long illness and repossession destroyed the equipment, and $1,650 will put it back on its feet.

For fifteen years I have run a laundry service in Gangnam. In February, a long illness and repossession took two washing machines and a dryer. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Friday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 12 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $1,650 goes:
• Replacing two washing machines and a dryer: $580
• Initial stock: detergent and packaging: $430
• Shop repairs and licensing: $360
• Working capital for the first month: $280
Thank you so much.

Hope the shop reopens soon. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. God bless.
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Sun-hee
It's all in the list in the story. replacing two washing machines and a dryer is the big one at $580, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. It helps to be asked.

Hang in there. Looking forward to the next update. My neighbor in Cairo donated after I showed her your page.
Hope it all works out, Sun-hee. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Blessings
