Start-up fund for Samira: reopening a small grocery stall after a fire in the building
Samira lost a cold-storage unit to a fire in the building and needs $600 to reopen a small grocery stall and support the family.

For fifteen years I have run a small grocery stall in 6th of October City. In August, a fire in the building took a cold-storage unit. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $600 goes:
• Replacing a cold-storage unit: $320
• Initial stock: fresh produce: $110
• Shop repairs and licensing: $85
• Working capital for the first month: $85
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Love from Sukkur.
Sending strength, Samira. Small businesses are the heart of 6th of October City. Hope you're open again soon. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry

So sorry you're going through this, Samira. Hope the shop reopens soon. I'll check back for the next update. Greetings from Embakasi.
Take care. Shared it with a few friends. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Love from Sheffield.
