Start-up fund for Saad: reopening a tailoring shop after a storm that collapsed the roof
Saad has run a tailoring shop for six years; a storm that collapsed the roof destroyed the equipment, and $350 will put it back on its feet.

For six years I have run a tailoring shop in Karachi. In August, a storm that collapsed the roof took three industrial sewing machines. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 3 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $350 goes:
• Replacing three industrial sewing machines: $150
• Initial stock: fabric and thread: $75
• Shop repairs and licensing: $60
• Working capital for the first month: $65
Thanks for being kind about this.

Wishing you peace. Hope you get there. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Take care.
Keep going. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. All the best.
Hope things get better soon, Saad. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Thinking of Karachi
