Start-up fund for Rubina: reopening a tailoring shop after a storm that collapsed the roof
Rubina has run a tailoring shop for nine years; a storm that collapsed the roof destroyed the equipment, and $350 will put it back on its feet.

For nine years I have run a tailoring shop in Gujranwala. In July, a storm that collapsed the roof took three industrial sewing machines. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Thursday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 3 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $350 goes:
• Working capital for the first month: $55
• Replacing three industrial sewing machines: $260
• Initial stock: fabric and thread: $35
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
