Start-up fund for Rani: reopening a roadside café after a long illness and repossession
Rani lost an espresso machine and grinder to a long illness and repossession and needs $700 to reopen a roadside café and support the family.

For six years I have run a roadside café in Kediri. In October, a long illness and repossession took an espresso machine and grinder. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Sunday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 5 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $700 goes:
• Replacing an espresso machine and grinder: $500
• Initial stock: coffee and pastries: $50
• Shop repairs and licensing: $90
• Working capital for the first month: $60
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Wish I lived closer to Mbarara so I could bring a meal.
Rooting for you, Rani. Looking forward to the next update. Take care.
reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Thinking of Kediri.
I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. We're a small family in Takoradi but we're thinking of you.
Take care, Rani. Your post was clear and honest. I'm in logistics myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. All the best.
