Start-up fund for Olumide: reopening a roadside café after a fire in the building
Olumide lost an espresso machine and grinder to a fire in the building and needs $350 to reopen a roadside café and support the family.

For six years I have run a roadside café in Ikeja. In September, a fire in the building took an espresso machine and grinder. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Friday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 8 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $350 goes:
• Working capital for the first month: $80
• Shop repairs and licensing: $30
• Replacing an espresso machine and grinder: $240
Glad we found this place.

So sorry you're going through this, Olumide. This could happen to any of us. My neighbor had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Love from Pretoria.
Thanks for sharing this. Looking forward to the next update. My neighbor in Islamabad donated after I showed her your page. Thinking of Ikeja!
Thinking of you, Olumide. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. Thinking of Ikeja.
Sending good thoughts, Olumide. Hope you get there. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Blessings
