Start-up fund for Okan: reopening a sewing studio after a storm that collapsed the roof
Okan has run a sewing studio for six years; a storm that collapsed the roof destroyed the equipment, and $850 will put it back on its feet.

For six years I have run a sewing studio in Üsküdar. In August, a storm that collapsed the roof took a cutting table and overlocker. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $850 goes:
• Replacing a cutting table and overlocker: $660
• Initial stock: fabric: $80
• Shop repairs and licensing: $55
• Working capital for the first month: $55
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

good luck, Okan. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I hope November is when things finally get easier. Take care.
Rooting for you, Okan. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
