Start-up fund for Nonso: reopening a roadside café after a long illness and repossession
Nonso has run a roadside café for six years; a long illness and repossession destroyed the equipment, and $450 will put it back on its feet.

For six years I have run a roadside café in Lagos. In August, a long illness and repossession took an espresso machine and grinder. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Thursday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 5 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $450 goes:
• Replacing an espresso machine and grinder: $250
• Initial stock: coffee and pastries: $90
• Shop repairs and licensing: $50
• Working capital for the first month: $60
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Take care, Nonso. Shared this with my family. I went through something like this 3 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Lagos
