Start-up fund for Netsanet: reopening a tailoring shop after floodwater
Netsanet lost three industrial sewing machines to floodwater and needs $400 to reopen a tailoring shop and support the family.

For three years I have run a tailoring shop in Mekelle. In July, floodwater took three industrial sewing machines. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Friday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $400 goes:
• Shop repairs and licensing: $35
• Replacing three industrial sewing machines: $350
• Working capital for the first month: $15
Thanks for reading all this.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Netsanet.
Thinking of you. Your post was clear and honest. Sent it to 37 people at work. Love from Lagos.
Good luck. Shared it with a few friends. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. God bless
Your post was clear and honest. After 13 years in hospitality I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Mekelle.
