Start-up fund for Million: reopening a neighborhood bakery after the demolition of the market
Million lost a commercial oven to the demolition of the market and needs $450 to reopen a neighborhood bakery and support the family.

For fifteen years I have run a neighborhood bakery in Addis Ababa. In May, the demolition of the market took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Friday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 5 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $450 goes:
• Replacing a commercial oven: $210
• Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar: $100
• Shop repairs and licensing: $40
• Working capital for the first month: $100
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

hang in there, Million. Hope you get there. Take care
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Million!
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. replacing a commercial oven comes first ($210) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Thanks for looking so closely.
so sorry you're going through this, Million. Your post was clear and honest
You're not alone, Million. Looking forward to the next update. I went through something like this 8 years ago and strangers helped me out. Blessings.
good luck. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My neighbor in Mannheim donated after I showed her your page.
Good luck, Million. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day
