Start-up fund for Miles: reopening a small grocery stall after a storm that collapsed the roof
A small grocery stall in Mandurah needs help replacing a cold-storage unit after a storm that collapsed the roof.
🇦🇺 Mandurah, Western Australia, Australia2,021 views
For six years I have run a small grocery stall in Mandurah. In April, a storm that collapsed the roof took a cold-storage unit. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $3,000 goes:
• Initial stock: fresh produce: $640
• Replacing a cold-storage unit: $2,100
• Working capital for the first month: $260
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

thinking of you and your family, Miles. Looking forward to the next update. My husband and I read this together. Blessings!
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Miles.
Initial stock: fresh produce is $640 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Fair thing to want to know.
Sending good thoughts, Miles. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My neighbor in Aurangabad donated after I showed her your page.
So sorry you're going through this, Miles. Shared this with my family
Wishing you the best, Miles. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. God bless.
hope it all works out. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. All the best!
