Start-up fund for Maxime: reopening a neighborhood bakery after floodwater
A neighborhood bakery in Paris needs help replacing a commercial oven after floodwater.
🇫🇷 75028, Paris, Île-de-France, France1,962 views
For six years I have run a neighborhood bakery in Paris. In August, floodwater took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $950 goes:
• Working capital for the first month: $180
• Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar: $360
• Shop repairs and licensing: $410
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
