Start-up fund for Maina: reopening a small grocery stall after the demolition of the market
Maina has run a small grocery stall for nine years; the demolition of the market destroyed the equipment, and $300 will put it back on its feet.

For nine years I have run a small grocery stall in Dodoma. In May, the demolition of the market took a cold-storage unit. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 8 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $300 goes:
• Shop repairs and licensing: $40
• Working capital for the first month: $75
• Replacing a cold-storage unit: $185
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
