Start-up fund for Małgorzata: reopening a tailoring shop after a storm that collapsed the roof
Małgorzata lost three industrial sewing machines to a storm that collapsed the roof and needs $1,350 to reopen a tailoring shop and support the family.

For twelve years I have run a tailoring shop in Gdańsk. In May, a storm that collapsed the roof took three industrial sewing machines. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 12 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $1,350 goes:
• Shop repairs and licensing: $280
• Replacing three industrial sewing machines: $870
• Working capital for the first month: $200
Thanks for reading all this.

hope you make a strong comeback. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Greetings from Chicago.
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Thinking of Gdańsk.
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Małgorzata.
Shop repairs and licensing is $280 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Thanks, that means a lot.
Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Wish I lived closer to Quezon City so I could bring a meal. Greetings from Mysuru.
How is Małgorzata doing now?
Thinking of you and your family, Małgorzata. I hope things turn around soon. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I went through something like this 3 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Gdańsk.
Is there anything that isn't money that would help Małgorzata?
Thank you. If you're in Gdańsk I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Good question.
Thinking of you and your family, Małgorzata. Hope the shop reopens soon. God bless.
thinking of you, Małgorzata. Shared it with a few friends. Don't give up. Thinking of Gdańsk
Wishing you the best, Małgorzata. Hope you make a strong comeback. After 12 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
Stay strong. Hope the shop reopens soon. I hope September is when things finally get easier
hope things get better soon, Małgorzata. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. Wish I lived closer to Los Angeles so I could bring a meal. God bless.
Thinking of you, Małgorzata. Shared this with my family. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings.
