Start-up fund for Lourdes: reopening a bicycle repair shop after the demolition of the market
A bicycle repair shop in Newcastle needs help replacing a full set of tools after the demolition of the market.

For fifteen years I have run a bicycle repair shop in Newcastle. In April, the demolition of the market took a full set of tools. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $2,150 goes:
• Shop repairs and licensing: $630
• Replacing a full set of tools: $850
• Working capital for the first month: $670
Thanks for being kind about this.

Wishing you the best, Lourdes. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. All the best.
Hang in there, Lourdes. Shared it with a few friends. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust.
